Itinerary.

Day - 01 Arriving to Cusco - City Tour.

Arriving at the airport of Cusco, the personel of Lonely Travel will give you the welcome and lead to our tour bus to transfer to the hotel, in the way our transfer will provide you with the appropriate information for a good stay in the Incas city.

In the afternoon we will have our City tour, first we will visit the cathedral of Cusco, where we can appreciate the linen paintings from the Cusqueña School and its imposing architectural characteristics Then we will go to the temple of the sun (Qoricancha), the most important place of the Inca state, in this place you can appreciate the most perfect masterpiece of Inca architecture. Right away we go toward the archaeological complex of Saqsayhuaman, where you can see the impressive work of architecture built with enormous stone blocks very well superimposed.

Then we will arrive at the archaeological complex of Qenqo that was an astronomical and ceremonial center.

Afterwards we will arrive to Puca Pucara, which previously was a place of watchtower, then we will go to Tambomachay, the Inca favorite place since in this place was the cult of the Water.

And finally return to the city of Cusco.

Day 02 Incas Sacred Valley.

Early in the morning we pick you up at your hotel to begin the Sacred Valley of the Incas tour, taking the direct route to the archaeological complex of Ollantaytambo, where we can appreciate the fabulous Inca constructions with its countless agricultural terraces.

Then we will make a stop in Urubamba to have lunch (buffet), afterwards we will head to the archaeological complex of Ollantaytambo, where it was fulfilled an administrative religious and military function on the Incas time since it is in a strategic place in the sacred valley, Finally we will visit Chinchero, a beautiful place called “”La Tierra del Arco iris” (the land of the rainbow), where we can appreciate beautiful colonial buildings mixed with the old Inca constructions.

We'll come back to the city of Cusco.

Day 03 Machu Picchu – Cusco.

Early in the morning, depending on the train schedule you have chosen, we will pick you up from your hotel then go toward the railway station to go on train to the village of Aguas Calientes.

During the tour of the train you will be able to appreciate the beautiful Andean landscapes blended with the beautiful vegetation of the jungle eyebrow of the Urubamba Valley.

Arriving at the town of Aguas Calientes, we will go to the bus station to undertake a short ascending journey towards the great Inca's Machu Picchu city.

After a guided tour of two hours, you will have time to visit freely Machu Picchu and take all the pictures you want. At the time indicated by our guide we will descend toward the village of Aguas Calientes in order to have lunch. In the afternoon we will board the train of return to the city of Cusco.

Day 04 Cusco – Exit.

Early in the morning after breakfast, transfer to the airport to take the flight to your next destination.
